Overview
I help the product managers of tablet, smartwatch, audio, PC and memory oversee the product lifecycle of their new devices. This includes sales, marketing, promotions etc. I helped setup the products for key accounts, track sales and present new product information to accounts. I also was responsible for carrying out processes for moving money around the business (for promotions), tracking product pricing across retailers and approving PDPs for e-store. As well as ad-hoc requests.
Skills
I have learnt more Excel skills than I had as well as presenting skills. My communication skills have also improved immensely.
Responsibilities
Yes, much much more than expected. There was real accountability on what I was responsible for. If I didn't do my role it would have affected the business more than I would've thought before joining.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support from my manager, team, mentor, 'buddy', other placements and other people I met in the business.
Culture
Very fast paced, quite hectic. But this is what I believe it takes to remain on top as a company. I enjoyed the ruthlessness of it and there was always support if it got too much.
