Overview
Everyday covered a different division of HSBC's global banking activities. I was able to hear and meet both top-level executives as well as recently joined juniors. Additionally, HSBC puts much emphasis on D&I which made the experience even more joyful. In their different session formats, HSBC has achieved a great balance between focus, creativity and break time.
Skills
Obviously one has to mention the overview of the company as a whole as well as the insight into the different sectors. However, I would more so highlight the many networking sessions that engaged us to be curious and open-minded.
Business Insight
HR made great efforts to answer individual questions as well as bringing them, if relevant, into the bigger group. The goodie at the end was a memorable way to end the experience as well.
Culture
HSBC really cares about D&I which was not only displayed through the diversity in the selected interns but also in the invited employees. However, it would have been nice to get a tour around the office and randomly meet people that might not have been preselected for this event.
Your Impressions
Very much – absolute reccomendation to get to know one of the most important global employers!
Yes
Really go through their website and value statement. Practice to be confident and how to speak in an engaging manner. So important for their online Assessment center!
