Systems Business Analyst Review

The Systems Business Analyst role involves supporting projects that deliver solutions to the rest of the business that aim to improve productivity and efficiency. As this is a project-based role, each day is different but the main responsibilities include communicating and presenting to different stakeholders, requirement gathering, system mapping and design, development of skills in the O365 tools and training activities to develop skills in new technology.

This placement has offered the perfect opportunity to develop a range of both personal and professional skills including confidence and public speaking skills through opportunities to present to the business, as well as project management experience, helping develop both communication and teamwork. Not only has this placement provided the opportunity to develop these skills but apply them in a real-world environment.

The general atmosphere is very friendly- I was surprised by just how many people were so kind and willing to help. I was even walked to the water fountain on my first day! Collaboration is a big part of Toyota's ethos and there is a noticeable appreciation for good teamwork and communication.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at TGB- the placement itself has provided so many opportunities to develop new skills whilst also contributing meaningful work that will continue to be used even after I leave. It has been a brilliant introduction to a corporate environment, with space to experiment and permission to fail whilst always being supported.
