Overview
The first week of the internship consisted of a "Business of Law" week which was designed to create a real life impression of the relationship between business and law. We got involved in real life client dialogue, presented as part of an innovation den, undertook a business simulation activity and engaged in honest and open conversations with partners and trainees. This week allowed us to see the real culture and values of the firm.
Skills
I developed the ability to deduct key information and present findings within short periods of time. I have become more composed in pressurised and demanding situations which I believe the simulation activity really helped me in.
Responsibilities
We were given the responsibility to engage in real life client dialogue which shows that the firm trusts us to deal with some of their biggest clients.
Support & Guidance
The instructions were very clear and concise. All the tasks were group tasks so we had the support and guidance from our team members.
Culture
The culture was very people orientated. They are a firm who believes in integrity, trusting their employees and not micro managing them.
Your Impressions
Very engaging and interesting.
Yes
If you care about your well being and the culture of the firm, then this is the firm for you.
