Overview
- Ecommerce Champion - websites, brand pages, digital advertising - Social Media and PR oversight via agencies - Image editing, banner creation, advert design - Budget Management - Commercial conversation involvement for example NPD for next year, portfolio management - Performance reviews and strategy discussion
Skills
- Extensive 4 week training at the beginning of the placement, followed by regular company wide trainings throughout the year. Opportunities for upskilling via online platforms. - Project leadership, time management - ability to support and lead for key projects throughout the year - opportunities for collaboration and autonomy - Broad exposure to all the functions of the business, as well as opportunities to partake in extra projects outside of everyday role
Responsibilities
Significant levels of autonomy, as well as great team support across projects. Able to take part in a variety of supporting roles such as for PR campaigns, instore activations and digital marketing. Examples of autonomous projects are brand websites, social media and ecommerce content.
Support & Guidance
Regular 1-2-1 meetings with line manger. One entire squad catch-up weekly, but tended to spend at least half of everyday in meetings with team members. Great levels of support from all functions. Monthly chats with placement buddy in an entirely different team.
Culture
Friendly, sociable environment with a general willingness to help. Opportunities to take part in CSR initiatives such as DE&I and Green Champions for sustainability. Individual brand charity partnerships as well as company-wide. Team volunteer day at an adventure playground for disabled people.
Your Impressions
Enjoyable experience with great exposure to the business world and all areas of corporate functions. Joined a team with people similar to me, which enabled a positive working environment. Can be rather hectic with heavy workloads at times, but always had a supportive team to help alleviate pressure and find a way forward.

Definitely look into the 'Credo' - defines the company culture. Process involves virtual questions, video interview and assessment centre with a team activity, interview and presentation - friendliest one I attended and definitely gave me an insight into the company culture.
