Overview
Sat in the corporate department. The daily tasks included reviewing contracts, researching clients and attending meetings. Also had socials with the rest of the vacation schemers as well as people from the firm, where I got to experience the culture of Latham.
Skills
Yes, learnt a lot of technical skills and also further developed my negotiation skills by watching my associate mentor during client meetings.
Business Insight
The potential roles were laid out very clearly once I made an effort to approach people at the firm and seek details about the business. However, the scheme was short and therefore did not involve any presentations which made it a bit difficult to access such information.
Culture
The culture was some of the best I have ever experienced, everyone was friendly and welcoming.
Your Impressions
To a great extent, lots of information was provided.
Yes
I think the most important thing is understanding and researching Latham before applying to ensure that the work and culture are the right fit for you.
