Overview
Started the morning working on tasks provided, speaking to partners and associates within the firm. Joined some client calls to get exposure to the client-lawyer relationship. Each day, there was an insight session consisting of talks from international group heads of different practice areas. Went to lunch with the other interns and worked with them as well.

Business Insight
Throughout the entire 3 weeks, I learnt a lot more about the legal sphere. The insight sessions provided information about the recent changes to the law as well as potential future challenges our generation of lawyers will be facing. Through speaking to different individuals, I was exposed to the separate sub-groups within each practice area and was asked to produce work in relation to most of them.
Culture
The firm's culture is engrained within the individuals I spoke to as well as the work they do. It is an aspect of the firm which cannot be overlooked as it is visibly essential to them. Everyone, from partners to associates and to the trainees, were extremely welcoming and supportive. They were understanding of our position and curiosity to learn. The general atmosphere was uplifting and empowering.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the last 3 weeks - it was a great opportunity/experience to learn more about the firm, their clients and their dedication to their service to said clients. The early careers team did an incredible job at organizing and helping us throughout the scheme. The insight sessions were filled with knowledge, wisdom and were inspirational.
