Overview
My role is to support my team in any way that I could and complete month-end tasks to ensure the rest of the team can proceed with their month-end roles. Throughout the internship, I have provided commentary on files made both by myself and others, used Excel to collate data and present an easier display and present the work that I have done to others.
Skills
I have increased my knowledge regarding Excel and the Travel industry. During the internship, we have been given projects where we developed our communication and leadership skills. Overall, the main thing that this company provides is a chance to speak to high-up members which allows you to boost your network and confidence, then following up with presentations to the company globally.
Responsibilities
You are treat as an equal within the company and the workload is given to you in a manageable but equal amount as others within the team. We are given the chance to make great changes to the company and pushed to strive with our creativity and getting one step ahead.
Support & Guidance
There were many positive individuals during my time here who offered assistance however my manager was not one of these, it felt as though she didn't respect me and the work I did. However, don't take this as a bad note on the company but rather one negative individual. The SLT are brilliant and actually get to know you as a person, which is amazing seeing as this is a massive company.
Culture
My team were motivational and always chatty, ensuring I didn't have a boring day. Even when I was left with no work, they made sure that I was included in the conversations. The company as a whole are very emotionally intelligent.
Your Impressions
We took on three different projects which they summarized to be called Internpreneurship and and had a final presentation in-front of the entire office (with the US offices coming to the UK to watch) and making a big event out of the interns work. This felt really great because the interns work was being noticed by the company globally.
Yes
