    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Attending dragons den meetings online and spending a little time each day researching for the dragons den project. I have been given some client work although not a lot. I have not done any shadowing of more senior staff.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to use Aura and Connect as well as various other PwC accounting platforms. I have learnt some new Excel functions, although I thought I would have learnt much more and improved my Excel skills further

    Support & Guidance

  • How would you rate the support and guidance from the wider team?
  • 3/5

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The office atmosphere was great and the company culture was also very good. Everyone in the team made an effort to say hi to the interns which was very nice. Office post-work events were also a great opportunity to further get to know people

  • How would you rate the inclusiveness of the culture?
  • 4/5

  • How would you rate the social opportunities?
  • 5/5

  • How would you rate the diversity initiatives?
  • 4/5

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I enjoyed the office atmosphere a lot and getting to know my team. I did not enjoy the first week of training and the fact that we had to undertake the dragons den project because I chose to come to PwC to intern in order to learn about my specific line of service, not to do an activity such as dragons den. I would have benefited more from the company putting more effort into ensuring that each team that takes on an intern is prepared for them to come, by planning appropriate tasks for us and so on, rather than putting on the whole dragons den thing

  • Please rate your level of enjoyment on your placement / internship
  • 4/5

  • Please rate how your experience met your expectations
  • 2/5

  • Please rate the future employment prospects at PwC
  • 4/5

  • 7. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to PwC
  • You really have to go out of your way if you want to be given work during the internship, so the more staff you meet, the more likely you are to be given some work to do.
