Overview
On a day to day basis, I prepare some essential documents for the team, I also prepare a playbook for my team. But I also work on my group project with other interns.
Skills
Absolutely, I definitely increased my excel modelling skills, I am way much faster in powerpoint, but I also understand number and ratios way better than before this hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
I believe I have been given responsibility because I have been able to access some protected file, provide some data from those file & my team trusted me with my excel modelling and the data.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from everywhere & I am even surprised because the team and everybody was much more accessible than I thought before starting my internship.
Culture
The company culture feels nice. But with a survey my peers and I made on Wellbeing within our Division, we had some very bad responses considering that the survey was anonymous.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship within Barclays, my team was amazing, the work was meaningful, this internship has been amazing since the first day I joined the firm and I think coming back to work here would be very nice because I still have much more to discover, the internship seems to be going so fast.
Yes
I would say it is important to be yourself, don't be afraid to speak about your passions, and hobbies during the interview process, they really value who you are as a person much more than your technical abilities, which is very nice as they will help you to develop your skills during the internship.
