    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Mainly looking into client accounts and comparing two accounts with one another to validate the information and ensuring they all match. Attending client meetings and obtaining information of them that'll be helpful when completing their audit. Going through numbers with colleagues to ensure they are correct

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Yes in the 4 weeks I have been here, I have increased my communication skills, I've been able to work with so many people from different backgrounds, not just people in audit but people in tax and consulting to get projects done. Also organisation is a key skill which I developed during my time here, there's so much information presented to you so you have keep everything tidy.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

From the first day you are assigned a buddy who guides you around the office, help you if you are stuck on something whether it is the tasks your on or if you can't get the coffee machine to run. A career coach guides you though your work, helps you set your goals and gives feedback to you.

  • - Ensure the values align to your personal values - Organisation and time management for the assessment centre are very important as you'll be doing multiple tasks throughout the day - If i reapplied I would research audit more and get a good understanding of what it is - I'd love to have known that it is busier than you think - I joined because of the opportunities the company has
