Overview
Daily reporting of credit risk. Daily LCR and MCO reporting.
Skills
Product knowledge, terminology used in the banking sector, excel advancements, credit calculating and importance, awareness of industry both general and IDM specific.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was shown and then nurtured into formulating my own reports which I sent off via email to be used by other departments and also by other entities within MUFG.
Support & Guidance
Lots of guidance and support. HR and early careers worked really hard to plan socials and deliver subject specific talks so we get a deeper understanding as to who MUFG are and what MUFG do. Everyone is willing to help and does so with a smile. Massively encouraged to reach out to people via coffee chats and they offer good guidance as to their career and things they see opportunity in etc.
Culture
General atmosphere is amazing. Everyone walks round with a smile and a hello and will stop and talk if you so want. Everyone cannot do enough for you in terms of subject knowledge and general help. People will talk about their lives outside of work which is nice because it offers a different perspective and will grab a coffee with you during the day for any form of catch up you would like.
Your Impressions
Thoroughly enjoyed. I have been able to get an excellent insight into everything and have been given responsibility making me feel like a real team member. Everyone has been so lovely and welcoming and supported me throughout my time here which I feel incredibly grateful for.
Yes
Research the company and the departments you are interested in prior to interview. Learn about the cultures and standards as this is very important to MUFG as a whole.
