Overview
I was assigned certain coding tasks. I got to do some hands on work with other developers which was pretty great. There is also a big emphasis on networking.
Skills
I defiantly helped to develop my confidence as a developer as well as my networking skills.
Responsibilities
We were given what I think would be a normal amount of responsibility for an intern.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance from my peers as well as my assigned graduate buddy.
Culture
It was very fun but at the same time serious. The Glasgow office has kind of a silicon valley vibe with free ice cream occasionally and people playing ping pong.
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed my internship. I was expecting it to be super draining and boring. However the combination of the support I received as well as the office atmosphere helped me actually enjoy coming to work. I also really liked the project I was working on and the tech I was working with. It helped me affirm that I had chosen the correct career for myself.
Yes
All I would really say is be yourself because you'll end up where you belong in the end.
