Overview
In a typical day most of my work goes into the last programming task I was assigned. Generally, there are a couple of Microsoft Teams meetings too, varying from team meetings to innovation meetings encouraging us to be more creative.
Skills
I have started coding in Groovy which I have never done before and I have learnt a lot about managing my time and energy in a full time job.
Responsibilities
My level of responsibility is medium, fitting for an intern. My tasks are important for the team.
Support & Guidance
I was given a great level of support, both from my manager and the rest of the team. I was also assigned a graduate buddy to contact if for any other questions or a different perspective.
Culture
The general atmosphere is professional without being stressful. The values and mindset of the company match with my own. The work environment is unexpectedly good.
Your Impressions
I am enjoying my internship a lot! The work I'm doing is challenging and intellectually stimulating, the team is supportive and the office was designed with the people working there in mind.
Yes
Don't hesitate! I know the feeling of thinking that a big company will most likely reject you - but that's not true. Try to not feel intimidated by the application process.
