  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I organise calls both globally and for EMEA, whether thats setting them up or preparing for them. I also manage the knowledge storage catalogues, where loads of materials are stored. There is also a lot of adhoc involved.

  • I learnt loads of new skills, particularly excel skills. Also design skills for designing powerpoint slides. I've learnt to use many new tools. I've also developed confidence.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, a lot more than I thought I would as an intern. I got the chance to sit in on some really important meetings and carry out some important tasks.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I had a lot of support. Both my task manager and my foundation manager were really supportive. I had daily calls with my task manager to check in with each other on not only work but also just to have a chat. My foundation manager was always there if I needed.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • I am not sure I got the complete experience, as I spent the whole year working from home. But IBM felt like a really supportive company, who were very interested in your wellbeing. I even got a free day off to focus on my wellbeing .
