First week training. Remaining 3 weeks working with your team on a client. Assigned various pieces of work and spent time on client site. Liasing with team, asking for feedback. Also intern SE project to get an insight on consulting.
Skills
As someone who did not have a background in finance, learned a lot of finance skills which was useful for someone who does not come from a finance background. Interacting with client skills. Teamwork skills developed working with 11 other interns on a project.
Responsibilities
Yes, was contacting the client myself under minimal supervision. In just 3 weeks of working with the client felt like I was part of the team.
Support & Guidance
Buddy and Career Coach were both amazing! Really friendly, both made it clear to ask as many questions to get the most out of the intern experience. Felt comfortable coming forward to them with any queries. Especially during my first week where I was stuck at home due to COVID, they were always checking up and was very re-assuring.
Culture
Everyone is friendly and down to Earth. Doesnt feel hierarchy, have partners working right next to interns. Clean office, free unlimited coffee, table tennis and foosball table. A lot of perks such as giveaways (£50 PizzaExpress and £20 Cafe Nero etc) and lunches (joiners lunch and Career Coach lunch)
