Overview
I was on a 4 week summer internship. I worked closely with the Employee Relations team to develop a training manual on how to approach complex scenarios. I also had the opportunity to network with individuals in the company and find out about the different areas of HR such as Reward, Talent, Diversity and Inclusion. I also took part in training sessions such as design thinking and storytelling all which led up to me delivering my final project presentation.
Skills
Yes I have developed so many skills over the past 4 weeks. The first key skill I developed was collaboration. I was able to collaborate with different members of my team and understand more about Employee Relations and this helped me put together the training guide. Another skill I developed was presenting. My final task was to deliver a final project presentation to my line managers and team and this really took me out of my comfort zone.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given lots of responsibility during my internship. I had to manage a project, design and structure how I wanted it to look like, organise sessions with my team to understand more about the topic area. I also had to network with different individuals and understand more about their roles and the different parts of HR that they worked in
Support & Guidance
I received lots of support and guidance from the recruitement and onboarding team to my actual project team aswell. Everyone was super supportive.
Culture
Really nice. I felt a sense of belonging. Everyone is friendly and supportive and there is a real sense of community in the company and it is people led.

I really enjoyed my internship. It was so fun. I enjoyed getting to know different people and understanding more about everyone
