Overview
I was involved in both seat tasks and weekly assessed projects. I had opportunities to meet a lot of people and gain an insight into the work and culture of the firm. The projects and the work were of a very wide range in nature, and gave me insight into a broad spectrum of the types of work at the firm.
Skills
Yes - Industry-specific skills I have developed is improving the technical knowledge and understanding the crucial documents involved in a banking law. I also developed my client-facing skills, having conducted business development work for the firm.
Business Insight
It was great, I gained a very meaningful insight into the broad work the firm offers.
Culture
The company culture is very good, there is no pressure to be 'defensive' about your career, as people are very friendly and willing to help. There is a very accessible support network and 'open door' policy as well.
Your Impressions
To a very large extent. The people were extremely friendly and helpful, the work was insightful and covered a broad range, and the culture is very helpful in giving trainees the support they need to be efficient lawyers.
