The Role
Because others had to rely on me for work I felt needed and respected by them
I was never left helpless or if I didn't understand something I knew I could always speak to someone. At the same time I was given the 'support' to be independant and approach my work how I liked
There was always work to do and we completed it as quick as I could, there were times when we were swamped with work but the job taught you how to manage and prioritise and so didn't cause massive amounts of stress
I was put in charge of a whole project myself (which was worth quite a bit of money to the trust), i was also technical support for one of the hospitals computer systems
Just working with professionals who actually use business theory in a postive way as opposed to it simply being something tacked on they have to do
The Company
Varies day to day depending on work loads but everyone always has a postive attitude
At the beginning my start date was delayed due to HR messing up my references, other than that it was very well handled with the oppertunities to go round and meet people all over the hospital
We were offered training, I have been out the office to a couple of conferences as well as them giving us access to online learning modules provided by the NHS about business
Flexi Time
Above 25 days holiday
In the current economic climate- not great. However once you have had your foot in the door with the NHS it seems a lot easier to get back into it!
The Culture
Not particularly, although it was probably more on my part through lack of effort!
Cheap but poor
Salford isn't known for its great nights out - although I live in Manchester about 15 minutes away which is great for going out.
There were a few but non really presented easily!
