Overview
Talent pipeline engagement projects, ad-hoc data insights reports, long term strategic research projects
Skills
Data presentation, interviewing, stakeholder management, qualitative research, quantitative research
Responsibilities
Yes, engaging in my own projects, leading research, delegating responsibility to other team members, not micromanaged at all, seen as a point of contact for data insights, leading onboarding for new joiners, leading enablement calls for new joiners.
Support & Guidance
Always given a point of contact for any project assigned, reminded of opportunities to reach out. 1:1s conducted every week with my line manager and my global manager.
Culture
Hard to tell in virtual environment, intern culture full of great people, some seniors were less accepting of early talent in the office or at work events, some divide and blame offloaded to early talent. All in all majority of people are welcoming and always offer their support.
Your Impressions
Hugely, my team were extremely supportive and really welcomed me into the role and gave me incredible amounts of responsibility. The placements team are just as supportive. The wider company too, mostly supportive and welcoming around the office.
Yes
Be yourself throughout the process, show curiosity and hunger for learning and development. Be curious and ask questions, lean into the tech industry, learn about SAP.
