    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I am involved in demonstrating SAP products to customers, showing the different capabilities of S/4HANA ERP platform. My contribution to this includes theming & branding the system to match the marketing of the designated customer.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have learned loads about SAP products, particularly S4HANA. I have also become a lot more confident, in terms of presenting, networking & my abilities to deliver high quality work. I’ve also developed my creativity, being given the opportunity and trust by my team to lead the theming and branding for UK presales

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

  • How would you rate the support and guidance from the wider team?

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is getting better, and I don’t think it’s specific to SAP, but there are some culture issues across the technology industry and in the corporate world which have been highlighted. Being a woman in tech can be difficult, as it’s a male dominated industry, but having diversity and inclusion groups for support, such as the BWN, is a credit to SAP.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to SAP
  • Go in with an open mind, network as much as you possibly can - if you expand your network you really get to see different areas of the business and see what you do & don’t like - which is a really important aspect of your placement. Explore options while you’re young, have limited responsibilities & a career ahead of you!
