Overview
An every day business associate role involves working in key areas such as demand management, sales forecasting, sustainability and charity efforts. Every day is different and allowed me to work with different colleagues and different teams to develop my skills in multiple core areas. From current quarter deal reviews and pipeline generation, to sustainability projects & charity events, every day is different.
Skills
I’ve learnt and developed many core skills over my time on placement. It has helped me mature a lot and develop a much improved professional mindset. My time management has improved, as well as my ability to communicate and work in teams effectively. Presentation skills are something that I’ve improved drastically which has also seen an improvement in confidence and belief in my own ability.
Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibility in my time on placement. I worked on lots of different project within different teams and I found myself working with senior figures, including the COO. I was also involved in key charity fundraising efforts which included thorough event planning and leadership of these events
Support & Guidance
The support and guidance has been brilliant. Monthly 1:1s and frequent catch ups with my manager & ‘buddy’ have allowed me to gain help and support regularly when needed. The creation of a development plan has also enabled me to set achievable goals that I could work towards within my time on placement.
Culture
The company culture & general atmosphere was great. The company is very relaxed and allows you to have complete independence when completing your work. Support is given but you don’t feel like you are being watched or constantly supervised. You have freedom to try new things & chances to learn and develop.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement this year. It was a year to develop skills & experience corporate life to its maximum potential. I made loads of new connections and worked in loads of different areas.
Yes
