    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The Technical Support role involved writing a monthly newsletter, creating content to help end users understand IT systems and project managing the role out of new IT equipment. The Presales role involved building end to end personalized customer journey demos to exemplify how SAP could transform businesses and presenting these to customers. Day to day I would understand the pain points of a customer, work with the team to create a journey that addresses these pain points and then design a front end to show what a customer journey could look like with SAP running.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • From business acumen, project management, presentation skills, confidence, conflict resolution and practical design skills I’ve learnt so much during my time at SAP. Before placement the idea of entering the world of work was daunting but SAP has set us up for success and now the idea of applying for graduate roles is less daunting. I feel like I have an abundance of skills and examples I can pull on in interviews and assessment centers.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • The support and guidance was phenomenal. There were points where I didn’t feel completely fulfilled by my core role and the placement team supported me to find projects on the side that were really exciting. I had to take an extended time off work for illness and the support I received was amazing making it really easy for me to transition back into work on my return. The culture at SAP is so supportive and everyone wants to see you succeed.
