Overview
Supporting communications for the UK and Ireland internally by writing the newsletter, sending regular event and internal updates, writing internal news articles and supporting with the organisation and hosting of internal employee events. My team often work closely with our external PR team to produce external news for SAP.
Skills
Producing and hosting a podcast in the final weeks of my placement allowed me to develop my self confidence and public speaking skills. I have also become much more confident with my article writing as well as becoming more familiar with professional skills.
Responsibilities
Plenty responsibility. In reality there is a hierarchy of employees at SAP but not once have I felt any less valuable than other colleagues. Being an intern has certainly not proved to mean we are bottom of the barrel. We’re all as responsible as each other.
Support & Guidance
From the very beginning we’ve been nurtured as much as we require individually. If we feel we’re not comfortable with the role or the culture of the company, the placement team work tirelessly to make sure our needs are met, to make this year at SAP the best it can be.
Culture
Incredible. Everybody values each other as much as another. The culture at SAP isn’t like any other.
Your Impressions
I had the best experience and I’m so grateful to have been given this opportunity. You will not regret choosing SAP.
Yes
Be yourself. SAP are looking for people with the skills and knowledge to get the job done, your personality is just a bonus.
