Overview
Working with both the actuarial and investment consulting teams. Day-to-day work would be working on reports (e.g. Investment Monitoring) as well as doing valuations for actuarial (transfer values for pensions). There's also a fair bit of admin work. You get to do the work a new graduate would do under the guidance of a current graduate.
Skills
Learnt a lot of new investment words/just in general about investment and had a beginner's insight into Actuarial valuations.
Responsibilities
Yes. You do the work a new graduate would be doing!
Support & Guidance
Always loads of support available
Culture
Generally welcoming and pretty relaxed which is nice. There have been plenty of socials to go to/ general activities (e.g. an office netball tournament).
Your Impressions
The placement has been good. The work you get up to is meaningful and an insight into life as a recent graduate in the company. The team has been lovely and really welcoming.
Yes
In general, don't stress. The assessment day was a lot more relaxed than I feared.
