Overview
Collaborating with the team to understand what they are currently working on and taking on tasks such as research, data management and analysis to help their projects.
Skills
I've learnt new ways of organising data such as 'linearisation' which I haven't come across before. I have also honed on my presentation skills and taken feedback to apply to future presentations.
Responsibilities
Not too much, mostly taking on minor tasks for the team
Support & Guidance
The people I worked with always made sure they were open to helping if and whenever I needed it
Culture
They had lots of events going on e.g. a BBQ for a more laid back, social environment. Also lots of networking events and overviews to give opportunity to learn and ask questions about Savills.
Your Impressions
I thought the work was pretty resourceful as it was applied to a real-life situation. I definitely learnt more case studies that I could include in my academic essays or even use as points of analysis in a future job. Some of the work the team was working on inspired some aspects of my dissertation and I built a good contact base with them if I ever needed help or advice on it. The company culture is very social and friendly. If I continue to consider real estate as a career path I would want to come back,
Yes
Just to be honest about yourself as a worker. I found Savills is really diverse with the people they employ. Do your research for interviews assessments, etc and just be confident.
