Overview
Participated in all the relevant agile ceremonies. Worked on bugs, developed new features, did a lot of debugging and pair programming. Daily did lots of coding, reviewed pulled requests, prepared builds for QA team and worked closely with other team members.
Skills
I improved my programming skills by applying design patterns to make code more adaptive and make it more up to industry standards. Learned a lot on technology as such and just the overall process of software development. Learned basic use of DevOps and some more advanced concepts about it as well.
Responsibilities
I was given a large amount of responsibility and equal amount of support, which allowed me to learn new skills at rapid pace and to apply them at the same time. I was treated no different than other developers when it comes to work.
Support & Guidance
Was working closely with my team members, therefore I felt like I was getting good amount of support and guidance at all times.
Culture
In general, it was very welcoming and there was plenty of social events to meet new people where you could share ideas and just have a good time. Also office is located in very nice place, which gives a positive start to your day.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed every single bit of it. Very taken away by the companies culture and its approach to modern workplace environment. Felt like I am given opportunities but at the same time lots of freedom, which showed trusted me a lot to deliver things and manage my own time. Had a great team - good laughs and good work.
Yes
Take it easy on interviews. Get along with people. Show that you are someone they might want to work with in a future. You are not expected to know it all but you should show that you are keen to learn new things.
