Overview
I conducted due diligence for many different properties going to be valued, helped take measurements on site visits, collecting comparable information for both rental and sales properties and assisted in writing the draft report for 2 bank valuations.
Skills
I have improved upon my ICT Skills in terms of Excel, and in relation to more property specific software such as Promaps. Also, just developing upon my communication skills when getting comparable information from other agents and simply talking with my colleagues (interpersonal skills).
Responsibilities
Yes, as I was responsible for conducting the due diligence for 2 bank valuations and writing the first section of the report. Also, it was my job to collect comparables both sales and lettings for a valuation portfolio consisting of over 50 properties to value.
Support & Guidance
I was given lots of support and could always ask questions if I was stuck.
Culture
It was such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was always happy to help and it was really nice to be invited on their teams day out to London.

Yes
In terms of applying, make sure you do your research! Don't just investigate the company, but also show evidence that you want to know about the property market e.g. listening to Savills 'Real Estate Insights', subscribing to Property Week etc. Whilst on the placement just be proactive and ask questions if there's something you don't know.
