Overview
Each day is different, from serving customers and putting them into hire, responding to queries over the phone and via email, marketing to local corporate accounts, reviewing and strategising the finance of the branch, planning the operations of the day and cleaning and driving the cars themselves
Skills
Yes, mainly my confidence has grown massively. I’ve also learnt a lot about time management, working with others, customer service skills and balancing a multitude of tasks
Responsibilities
Yes. You can be responsible for the planning the operations for the whole branch, as well as taking ownership in ensuring the customers and corporate accounts that you were looking after were completely satisfied
Support & Guidance
I always received a lot of support during my time. Alongside support from your branch and your area manager, you also have direct contact with those in head office. There is continuous training and development opportunities throughout.
Culture
After spending a lot of time together, those in your branch become your friends. Usually everyone is a similar age and therefore you may share things in common and also have similar attitudes
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and have therefore continued with the company following the end of my placement
Yes
Be prepared for hard work, but make sure to take every opportunity as the more you put into the role, the more you will gain
