Overview
The day to day role changes in general as no day is the same. Some of things I got to work on was presenting to our client, leading some meetings, and working on excel helping out with some tasks. Depending on what cluster/team you're on, the day to day work can differ a lot. All of these tasks were very insightful and helped me to achieve my goals throughout the internship.
Skills
I have developed my presenting and public speaking skills through presenting to the clients. I also improved my excel skills as I was using it daily. Learning more about the formula's and formatting to make and present work neatly helped me a lot.
Responsibilities
Yes I was! Having no prior experience, my line manager trusted me to lead some of the daily huddles and get involved with some of the work. Of course there were a few bits where I was accompanied by someone to make sure I'm doing the correct thing, however overall I was definitely given a lot of responsability
Support & Guidance
Each intern has a buddy, a career coach and a relationship lead as well as a line manager. All 4 of these contacts are all here to help, support and guide you throughout the internship to achieve your goals. You have weekly calls with them so they can track how you're doing and if there's any concerns you would like to raise. Overall, you do get a lot of suport.
Culture
A big thing about PwC is networking. There were a lot of events and opportunities for you to meet other interns, and employees across your division and the business. This is one reason as to why I love PwC.
Your Impressions
My internship was very enjoyable. Not only did I meet a lot of people, but I also learnt a lot within 6 weeks and also achieved my goals. Having the flexibility of hybrid working meant I could come into the office to meet people, but also work from home on the days I need to.
Yes
Throughout the application process, I would just be yourself. Be open minded to everything as well!
