Overview
Every day within Lidl was different, the scheme is a rotation through the business, so throughout the year I was part of many different teams.
Skills
Lidl GB have pushed my development since I joined the company, allowing me to partake in development and leadership courses which enhanced skills from communication to operational specialisms.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility. I managed shifts in store and in logistics, and ran projects during my time in HR and Head Office.
Support & Guidance
The support provided by Lidl during my placement was fantastic, everyone was willing to help if I reached out, and frequently checked in to see if I needed more support.
Culture
Lidl like to be busy, it’s a fast-paced, customer-centric company, with optimistic KPIs and targets that you work hard to meet. The teams themselves are fantastic, so supportive and passionate.
Your Impressions
I absolutely loved the placement with Lidl. It was really tough at points, but such a valuable experience, and the people I worked with supported me through every part of it.
