Overview
Work varied a lot depending on what I was working on, generally consisted of lots of data work in excel/tableau. Frequent meetings with other members of staff and delivering presentations were also somewhat common.
Skills
Learnt: Tableau data presentation, other internal tools + knowledge of financial markets via learning modules Developed: Excel skills, presentation skills
Responsibilities
I was given total freedom with respect to my own projects and was responsible for their success and delivery. The work I was doing generally felt meaningful and significant throughout
Support & Guidance
Frequent chats with line manager and other members of staff if I ever needed advice or guidance. Easy access to any information I might need and guidance about how to interpret it was readily available
Culture
Very relaxed atmosphere, people were very willing to have a quick chat if you wanted to learn anything. As long as I met my deliverables there were no constraints on my activities

Very much enjoyed it and would recommend to others, the work was very interesting and the culture felt incredibly supportive.
Yes
Read over all the FCA core values and try to display them during interviews. Stay up to date on a couple of their recent initiatives. There is no need to do any prep before day 1
