Overview
My role is to help out public health engineers in their everyday tasks. Some of the task I have done include drafting residential buildings' drainage system schematic drawings, calculating water demand for a new development, contacting manufacturers to obtain technical data such as pressure to flow rate charts. I also attended a few site visits to better understand the concepts of some of the projects we worked on.
Skills
It developed my engineering skills such as design thinking, user focused problem solving and logical thinking. New skills include doing mark ups on engineering drawing and relaying information to contractors and architects to inform on new changes.
Responsibilities
Decent amount of responsibilities, but the importance of it are reasonable in the sense where if mistakes were done they would not badly impact the overall result of the project. So much to learn but at the same time not much pressure.
Support & Guidance
Received lots of guidance. The engineers here are all happy to guide and teach concepts where can't be learn in school.
Culture
Very friendly and supportive
