Overview
Worked as part of the structures team. Was exposed to computational engineering, specifically Grasshopper, as well as general structural engineering principles and methods.
Skills
New skills in Tekla, Tedds and Rhino/Grasshopper. Developed skills within ROBOT. Developed upon structural principles and knowledge.
Responsibilities
Yes: was given a small project to run through from start to end. This included analysis and design of the structure as well as producing a calculation pack and Revit model.
Support & Guidance
Extensive support from colleagues. Always felt like there was someone to ask if I had a query. Everyone was willing to help.
Culture
The office atmosphere was welcoming and fun. There was also a number of socials throughout the eight weeks.

Really enjoyed the placement. I felt like I have learn a lot and it has definately benefitted me from a career and knowledge point of view.
