  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at GSK. Its a really good company to work for and the working environment is great.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I feel that my colleagues did value me, but not as much as I'd like. I think that mainly down to not knowing that much about the department though.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The support and guidance given by my supervisor wasn't great which meant I didn't get as much as I could out of the placement.

  • I feel that the amount of work that I had was manageable but could of done with a bit more.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was giving a fair bit of responsibility for example I was left to manage a project.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel I picked up a few skill that will help me in the future, for example being able to manage my time better.

  • The atmosphere in the office was great and we were always having a laugh.

  • The set up of the placement was fine and went without any problems.

  • GSK are more than willing to invest in you by sending you on training courses and letting you do e-learning courses.

  • You get a good chance of going back to GSK when you have done a placement with them.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • When on placement we went out at least twice a month.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living wasn't to bad. The only thing that was expensive was rent.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There wasn't much nightlife in the area, but you didn't have to travel far to find some.

  • Most of the time there was always something happening outside of work.
