Overview
Primary task as an intern is a 4 week project with the main focus of it being your own education. Aside from that, main activities are shadowing anyone you want to on the floor and completing small tasks for the team or yourself
Skills
Developed my coding skills as well as improving my technical understanding of markets
Responsibilities
As much as you can on a trading floor given its highly regulated nature
Support & Guidance
Plenty. Unlike other places, people are extremely happy and keen to give up their time and in those conversations you can definitely ask for support and guidance
Culture
No big egos, just people good at their job who are happy to patiently share what they know
Your Impressions
A large extent. Lots of technical immersion and got a great first-hand experience of the markets.
Yes
If you study a Economics/Finance degree, have a very clear understanding of current market themes and the drivers of main asset classes as you probably will be tested on that
