Overview
Management trainee - learning to become a manager within the business and enhancing your skills through working with fellow colleagues to achieve the same objective. Day to day skills include: Customer Service, Sales, Safe Driving, Administrative tasks
Skills
Yes, I have learnt new skills but developed many skills, these include: Customer Service Sales Logistics Emotional Intelligence Confidence Initiative Problem Solving
Responsibilities
Yes I was given responsibility throughout my placement. This was sometimes due to the fact that in this role you have to think for yourself and be independent quite a lot. In addition to this I was entrusted with running the whole branches operations for the day on multiple occasions.
Support & Guidance
I received good support and guidance through regular 121 meetings with managers and then every month we got together as a branch to review our performance as well. If I ever needed someone to go to, there was always support there.
Culture
It was a really fun atmosphere / culture to work in as everyone is of similar age, bubbly and all get on really well. This makes it so much of a better place to work in.
Your Impressions
5/5, I really enjoyed my placement and would recommend it to everyone who was considering doing it. You learn so much, including new skills, developing existing ones, plus you meet great people along the way. You can also have great successes if you really apply yourself and get involved!
Yes
Apply for the role, you work with amazing people and will have a great time. There is a bit of work you have to put in at the start but the reward in the long term is so worth it.
