Overview
A variety of design tasks including CAD, animation, sketching, brainstorming and research. Working to briefs set by the team and eventually presenting to head office
Skills
Developed new software skills along side old ones, gained industry knowledge on how consumer electronic design process happens.
Responsibilities
High level of responsibility, were treated exactly like any other member of the team and often supported large projects, being soley responsible for single aspects of the process
Support & Guidance
My manager was very supportive and helped me develop as a designer, giving lots of constructive feedback when needed
Culture
My team and other coworkers were very welcoming and social, and i found it easy to talk to anyone in my office. It is very high paced and can be tough at times, but hard work is often rewarded and managers are highly supportive.
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed my placement, i benefited from being able to learn a lot whilst working at the company and developed most of my skills to a high quality.
Yes
Make sure you are able to talk through your portfolio and are genuinly enthusiastic about working at the company. Be prepared to work on many varied roles that you may not have done and dont be afraid to ask questions.
