Overview
Assisting on creating valuation reports for clients. Helping on tasks in all aspects of the valuations process.
Skills
Yes, learnt how the valuation process works, networking and how to work in an office professionally.
Responsibilities
Yes my line manager and other team members gave me tasks to do from day one, most of which contributed to final reports presented to clients.
Support & Guidance
My line manager was supportive throughout and all team members were helpful and would take time to explain process which I had no experience in. The HR team were also responsive with any questions you may have. Everyone at the company was helpful.
Culture
I really enjoyed the company culture as everyone was friendly and approachable. A good mix of a social and professional atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my experience, particularly towards the end of the internship where I was more comfortable with the work and had a good relationship with the other interns and wider team members. Also learnt a lot about the real estate industry and how to apply for future opportunities at the firm.
Yes
Be yourself in assessment centres and interviews as they are looking for how you would fit in to the firm rather than previous knowledge about real estate. There is a lot of emphasis on your personality as the industry is largely based on networking. Make sure your CV is up to date with no errors etc.
