Overview
My role involves working on several client cases and client teams as well as being part of a team in the office and having a buddy to go to when any problems arise. Work usually involves working in Excel on spreadsheets, using models to create charts, analysis of data, reporting and accounting but no prior knowledge was needed as training sessions were given.
Skills
My excel skills have greatly increased as well as my confidence in presenting. I have built my skills in drafting professional emails to clients and taking notes on tasks i am given.
Responsibilities
I was given a good amount of responsibility during my internship without there being an over bearing amount of pressure.
Support & Guidance
I received an incredible amount of support and guidance. I was given a first year graduate buddy as well as a very welcoming and warm team leader who often checked up on me and asked how i was doing.
Culture
The company is very friendly there are social every week which i found quite overwhelming at first as it was a bit much for my first week and i didn't have much time to breathe. It is quite a sporty company which is great for some people but made me feel quite out of place at times but overall the company has a great community and there is always something to get involved with.
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed my internship as it was a bright and friendly office to walk into. I ended up feeling very comfortable there which was nice and i formed some great friendships as well as gained an amazing experience
Yes
I would advise you to be yourself because you will feel more comfortable a lot quicker and also not to be afraid of making mistakes and just go for it.
