Overview
Assisting the Procurement team with tender processes, setting up new suppliers, signing and creating contracts. I also assisted other business areas with raising Purchase Orders and any other Procurement training required.
Skills
Time management, communication, data analysis and perseverance.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given the opportunity to lead tender processes and be the first in the UK to use a new BSH system. However, I do feel there were times when I felt ready to be given more responsibility, but wasn't necessarily pushed to my potential.
Support & Guidance
I had an extremely supportive team that were always there if I needed anything at all. There were also people across the business, both locally and globally that were always happy to support me in any issues I came across.
Culture
Generally very positive and welcoming, a shame that the office was quieter than it would have been before the pandemic.
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed the experience and personally developed throughout, however I now know that Procurement is not my long term career aspiration.
Yes
Go for it and be yourself in the interviews. Everyone is really lovely and wants to see what you can do.
