Overview
4 week internship in the Deal Execution team where I had the opportunity to work with a partner on a large scale divestment project and well as presenting a case study to a panel of partners and directors
Skills
Developed my PowerPoint skills (thanks to an all day training), as well as my presentation and research skills.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility but at times too much, as I was never assigned to a team and only had one pot left assigned to me, I had to contact many people to even get some work. This experience was personal as for most people it wasn’t like this.
Support & Guidance
I was given sufficient support but I definitely expected to be followed more (as my fellow interns were), as I never got assigned to a team and hence didn’t get to meet as many colleagues as I would have liked.
Culture
Good atmosphere and culture. Some people are more welcoming than others.
Your Impressions
I mostly enjoyed my internship but I definitely had days where I was not happy with it because of the lack of work assigned to me, as well as multiple IT issues that prevented me from following training properly. Overall, I met many wonderful people and enjoyed working in London.
Yes
I would advise the fellow students applying to do a lot of research of KPMG’s values as they will be very helpful when answering questions during the launch pad!
