Overview
I was working on the Private side of Asset Management in a strategic role where I tried optimizing daily processes on out platform.
Skills
I have developed my Excel and Powerpoint skills as well as communication etiquette and problem- solving skills.
Responsibilities
I was given meaningful work from the start as the Analyst that I was shadowing shared all tasks with me.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support during daily tasks. There was not much guidance at the beginning but this was due to my division having employed interns for the first time.
Culture
fairly fast-paced and busy but welcoming. Although we were excepted to get tasks done in time, nobody expected us to stay late when there was no need to do so.
Your Impressions
I liked the environment that made me develop necessary skills as quickly as possible and having been perceived as a member of the team with just the same responsibilities.
Yes
Prepare well for the interviews and application process but for me personally, the interviews with Goldman Sachs were the easiest I have done so far. This is mainly due to yourself directing the conversation. Be aware that whatever you say, they will follow up on that so guide the interview to where you want it to go. And at the end of the day, it does also involve luck so don't stress!
