Overview
Significantly contributing to and collaborating in various technical and non-technical projects. Good communication and people skills key to being able to many daily tasks. Lots of opportunities to pickup side projects. Optional and mandatory training to be completed by end of placement.
Skills
Developed my ability to coordinate projects internally within Rolls Royce and externally with external organisations. Presentation skills and confidence also developed. Appreciation for time management and simplifying work flows.
Responsibilities
Yes, I have a lot of autonomy to make decisions based off of my own judgement depending on how important the task is at hand.
Support & Guidance
I have weekly 1:1s with my supervisor and I'm provided with lots of opportunities to ask questions.
Culture
Very welcoming culture. Open to my opinions despite my position as an intern. Very inclusive.
Your Impressions
I'm really enjoying my placement in the Innovation Hub.
Yes
Make sure you know what department/business you want to work in before applying as the type of placement you will have depends greatly on this. (e.g. if you really want to work with aero engines then apply to civil and not innovation).
