Overview
Used Microsoft Excel to build a model for long term planning for call centres. Met virtually with team members everyday and worked to complete a monthly plan.
Skills
Massively developed my Microsoft Excel skills and working in a team in a professional environment. Developed communication skills through meeting with the team everyday, explaining the work I was doing and listening to the work others were doing.
Responsibilities
Yes, the work I did was and is used by the team. It was done completely by me and nobody else had the necessary skills to check it was correct so there was a lot of responsibility to get it right.
Support & Guidance
I received loads of support in the first couple of weeks in order to train me to the required level for wat was required. After that, it was made clear what support was available to me but it was up to me to reach out to get it.
Culture
The company culture was fantastic. Everyone was really friendly, helpful and accommodating to the fact that I was new. Everyone took time out o their busy schedules to help teach and train me and were always available if I had any questions.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship. I was very busy most of the time which meant I was never bored or looking for something to do. My team were really friendly and we went out for a social night which really helped me to enjoy my time.
Yes
Make sure you do research about Centrica before your video interview and the assessment centre because they do test your commercial awareness a lot. Check all the streams and have clear reasons why you chose to apply to your stream and not the others.
