Overview
My role was in early careers resourcing. over the 7 weeks completed a comprehensive research project on recruitment marketing platforms, evaluated the value vs costs, managed external stakeholders. I was also involved in overseeing a number of apprenticeship projects/programmes particularly getting involved in the recruitment process of new apprentices. Networking, learning about HR, and performing ad hoc administrative tasks as well.
Skills
Developed my organisational skills big time, the pace of the company is FAST and there was a lot to get hands on to be very busy! Time management and prioritising tasks was key. Through internal and external stakeholder management, as well as networking with people in the company, I developed a high level of professionalism. Collaboration and team-work was key during the internships and I have grown as a team-player. Also, excel, miro and powerBI!
Responsibilities
I was lucky to have been trusted with a high level of responsibility, taking full ownership of the project I was working on, as well as being trusted to manage external stakeholders.
Support & Guidance
I had so much support and guidance throughout. First, from my line manager who met with me daily in the first half of the internship and every other day in the second half of the internship - to really communicate and debrief what's been happening, and prep for what was coming up. Second, from the wider HR team, there were so many people open to help.
Culture
The company culture is great, people are super interesting, welcoming, collaborative, and just generally awesome to be around.
