Overview
Daily Tasks - Dealing with Absence Management - Supporting recruitment process ( adverts, letters and interviews) - Time and Attendance to support month end KPI and payroll - Assist HR team with personal admin - Arrange on site training and log any recorded training hours - Arranging activities and food for FORVIA day -Raising PO and tracking invoices
Skills
I have increased my communication skills massively since the start of my placement. I can now deliver HR inductions in front of groups of new starters. My time management has improved as well, I have understand the importance of prioritising my day to day tasks. My functional knowledge has increased, I have a much wider understanding of the HR function and how we can support the rest of the other departments.
Responsibilities
Throughout my placement I was given an increased amount of responsibility. I have been involved organisation of FORVIA day and help co-ordinate employee empowerment events. I have been given real responsibility that has directly impacted the company, especially in recruitment
Support & Guidance
I have been given a huge amount of support. When I joined the company I was given a great handover from my predecessor, with out the initial support in the first few week I would not have been as confident. Throughout the year I have been given continuous support especially when my work load increased. I have been able to network with other HR professionals with in the company
Culture
The company culture at FORVIA is positive, the students were involved in a Charity Challenge against the other sites. Events were organised for FORVIA day which created a positive atmosphere within the factory.
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed my placement thoroughly, my team have been great role models and have supported me throughout. I have enjoyed working within the automotive industry due to it's fast pace nature.
