Overview
the virtual experience was a great blend of interactive sessions and listening based sessions. one of my favorite interactive sessions was the jaffa cake debate where we debated whether a jaffa cake was a biscuit or a cake in order to practice arguing in favour of arguments we didn't peronsally believe in. it was great to talk to the other members of the experience as well as hear everyones ideas.
Skills
i have gained confidence in speaking to a large group of people (even online i find this challenging). due to the jaffa cake debate i was able to practice the skill of supporting an argument even if i do not personally believe in it.
Business Insight
it was great to hear from solicitors and trainee solicitors and what their day to day work entailed and their journey into a legal career. it was also very helpful to hear about the different careers a law degree opens up.
Culture
the culture and atmosphere was amazing, there were a variety of speakers, all of which were very informative and helpful. all the speakers were open to answering all questions and very approachable.
Your Impressions
i absolutely loved the experience and found it extremely beneficial. i reccomend pinsent masons expereinces to anyway interested in learning about a career in law.
