Overview
I was working in a project management team where my main task involved coordination of responsibilities across teams globally. I helped the team with the projects they were involved in as well as being given the opportunity to work on my own standalone projects.
Skills
I have enhanced my soft skills such as problem solving, communication and stakeholder management skills as my projects were heavily dependent on working in a team.
Responsibilities
I was given meaningful work which has an impact on the wider team. However, the projects I was working on did not provide the most exposure to the business but was still a great learning experience regardless.
Support & Guidance
The support and guidance received was excellent. From liaising with the recruitment team during the AC, up until onboarding and then blending into the team I am working in, the culture is amazing and everyone has been extremely helpful and supportive in providing guidance.
Culture
The company culture is very welcoming and I have always felt like I was part of the company despite only being there for a very short period of time. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful even if you do not know them personally.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed being given the opportunity to speak to different people and get to know more about the different teams available and how each team sits within the wider picture of the entire firm.
Yes
The recruitment process was relatively straightforward. Just submitting your CV online and then doing a hirevue, after that you will be invited to an AC where the rounds include:1 presentation and 2 competency based interviews. I would recommend preparing about what makes JPM stand out to you compared to the other firms and pick out key news that relates JPM to the existing landscape to demonstrate your understanding and interest in the firm.
