Support & Guidance
Lots of support and guidance from the university and there was certain members of management that were always happy to help
Culture
In the branch it was great the team worked really well together and the branch manager was always there to help you with what you needed, however the culture of the wider area was very corrupt (in terms of promotions it was down to whoever was convenient to get it or who was friends with management it wasn’t given on merit) and totalitarian way of managing if you didn’t fit into the area manager’s plan you were not looked at.
Your Impressions
I loved the job, loved the company (the company itself really focused on customer service and bettering local communities and developing employees) however, what let them down is there is a lot of corruption within the areas and unethical practices not just in my own area in others too
No
It is a great job itself with great people however, what ruins it is the higher up management every other department there is no issue it’s within the management of daily rental where the corruption lies. I personally wouldn’t recommend it as it wasn’t just me there was a lot of other interns that were going home crying at the end of the day or on their way home due to working conditions (working late due to inefficient day running and just not getting any appreciation for what you do)
